Market cards will be provided on a firstcome, first-serve basis to interested clients at distribution locations 

What is the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP)?

Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) provides eligible clients with the opportunity to purchase fresh, nutritious, unprepared, unprocessed, locally grown fruits, vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs from authorized farmers markets and roadside stands 

 Who Qualifies for SFMNP Benefits 

  • 60 years of age or older 
  • Have not received a SFMNP market card in 2026  
  • Household annual income does not exceed more than 185% of poverty level

How to Apply for SFMNP Benefits 

Sourcewise will be hosting distribution events at selected sites around Santa Clara County in August 2026. 

 Steps to Apply: 

  1. Check distribution tour for location and dates

2. Go in-person to one of distribution tour locations 

     a. Market cards will be distributed in-person on a first come- first serve basis  

3. Self-Certify that you qualify for SFMNP 

     a. You will need to self-certify with a Sourcewise staff member that you meet the program             requirements 

4. Get your SFMNP Benefits 

     a. If you qualify, you will get your SFMNP market card the same day to go shopping
