Digital Ambassador Program
The Digital Ambassador Program is a “Seniors Empowering Seniors” initiative. The program participants receive training from the Sourcewise Digital Link team while demonstrating mastery in at least one specific technology topic. Digital Ambassadors are committed to sharing their time and knowledge with fellow seniors while upholding the mission and values of Sourcewise.
Our mission is to provide adults and their caregivers the tools and services they need to effectively navigate their health and life options. Through a comprehensive network of resources, Sourcewise strives to educate, prepare, support, and advocate for all adults, their families, and their caregivers within Santa Clara County.
What is a Digital Ambassador?
You can think of a Digital Ambassador as a peer mentor who helps fellow older adults feel confident using technology. As a Sourcewise Digital Ambassador, you will:
- Guide peers one-on-one or in small groups at the Roosevelt Community Center.
- Teach practical skills like staying safe online, using email, video calling, and exploring helpful Internet resources.
- Share your own experience to make technology friendly and approachable.
- Help other seniors stay connected, independent, and informed in today’s digital world.
By becoming a Digital Ambassador, you turn your learned digital skills and knowledge into meaningful support for your peers while also helping to close the digital divide.
